Cops beating driver in front of IHOP

Several people in IHOP were gawking at a SUV pulled over. Of course, the cops give this girl a field sobriety test and she fails. She's standing on the sidewalk and obeying the officers commands. As she's putting her hands behind her back this black trooper jumps out of his car and nearly slams her to the ground.....from everyone else's body language it seems as though she did nothing to warrant this treatment....

Karma giver -- you were not there to witness the event. I was. The young lady did nothing to provoke such excessive force on her. What pissed me off even more was that the three other cops acted like nothing out of the ordinary was going on....does the MSP and SMCSO usually "take someone down" even when they're fully cooperating?

Were you "actually" right by the cop vehicle? Did you hear the whole conversation?

When did this happen?
I just think you have Good Cops and Bad Cops, cause it happens every where.
Its a shame, those are the people that are suppose to be helping us..
Maybe when the girl was putting her hand behind her back the cop thought she was reaching for some thing.. Don't know why people do some of the things they do some times......

Have a Happy New Year!!!!!!! :coffee:

Yeah, I suppose if I reached for a gun or if any of the other three cops sensed something was wrong, they would still be acting calm and not making much of a defensive posture. I'm sure since you didn't hear it either, that you saw it and you are providing your own opinion?

If you all believe you witnessed something then go down to MSP and the Sheriffs Office and file a formal complaint otherwise you obviously don't believe the officers were guilty of misconduct.

Richard-this gal may be a habitual offender. Maybe she has some outstanding FTA’s or maybe she walked out and stiffed her server-who knows WTH happened-you did the smart thing-you stayed inside and watched. :yay:

I'm glad you posted this because it's really happening in Lexington Park. More than most people care to realize. To the one that said "Cops have a hard job".....I guess that gives them an excuse to use excessive force whenever they feel like it, right?

And as though any racism is simple...

Was the girl white? Maybe it was a simple case of racism.

THEN his azz should be fired.
I think he loved her and was trying to give her a kiss.
Stupid azz cops.

Keep those amazing karma comments coming, SMIBs. I expect nothing less from those of you defending one of your own.

I don't think racism comes anywhere near the picture. I think the cop got a little overzealous and thought he saw something he didn't see....although, I don't believe there's any way possible he could have misconstrued anything when the girl was following commands and the other officers were not in a defensive posture.
