Keep those amazing karma comments coming, SMIBs. I expect nothing less from those of you defending one of your own.

I don't think racism comes anywhere near the picture. I think the cop got a little overzealous and thought he saw something he didn't see....although, I don't believe there's any way possible he could have misconstrued anything when the girl was following commands and the other officers were not in a defensive posture.

:jameo: YOU werent outside... I give up....

You weren't there at all, you should have given up before you started.

Yesterday I was driving in Dover and I saw an elderly man in a wheelchair in the turn lane in the median...like he was going to try to cross Rt. 13. That would've been like him trying to cross Rt. 235 on a busy day. I called the non-emergency number, and they told me to call 911...so I did. That was my good samaritan act for the day. :yay:

It's ########, nothing more...

Obviously RC doesn't believe he witnessed anything inappropriate otherwise he'd have reported it and filed a complaint.

2:45 am - Hmmm Handcuffs sounds like possible drunk driving? Possibly opening up her mouth and being belligerent? If you were that concerned you would call the barracks and find out about the stop and see if the person being arrested complained about excessive force and you can be her witness. Otherwise why post here? I agree officers have a hard job but it doesn't give them an excuse to have a bad evening and take it out on the public.

Maybe it was his wife and he was just roughing her up a little bit. A little OJ/Nicole action, perhaps?

You said the cop pushed her down....that's hardly 'beating.'

come on, simply placing a finger on someone these days is means for the death penalty

Several people in IHOP were gawking at a SUV pulled over. Of course, the cops give this girl a field sobriety test and she fails. She's standing on the sidewalk and obeying the officers commands. As she's putting her hands behind her back this black trooper jumps out of his car and nearly slams her to the ground.....from everyone else's body language it seems as though she did nothing to warrant this treatment....
NO black troopers working Mids in st mary's last night. You might want to get your facts straight before you start slamming.

law enforcement:
County (deputy)
State (trooper)

There is another side to this story. Think about it. What cop would start beating on someone knowing there is a restaurant full of witnesses watching? Don't be too quick to take sides with this poor little drunken idiot. At 2 in the morning, who was the one out there drinking, driving, etc?

I would say there was more going on than anyone could see from inside the restaurant. I once read an officer's quote "It's better to be tried by 12, than to be carried by 6." Maybe it looked like the officer was over-reacting a little, but maybe there was a reason.
