It should be able to.

Try DVD Shrink and grab a DVD Decrypter of some variety.

If the DVD is not made by you, ie a movie like Wall-E, the DVD is protected. You need a program to break the copy protection and save the result to a hard drive. You can then use your DVD burning software to make a Data Disk using the saved de-protected files.

Google DVDFab for the decryptor software.

In My Opinion
I use this
It strips the previews and shrinks the DVD down to fit the recordable single layer DVDs.

Most DVDs can be copied, a few are protected to the point that they dont work.

I will look for the name of the software I had at a place I worked a few years back, it copied bit by bit instead of by block so the encrypted offsets did not stop it from reproducing the data.

DVDFab does too, and can shrink if you want. I choose to leave them unshrunk.

The only ones I had any trouble decrypting was Disney DVDs. DVDFab will do those as well. Thanx for the link to the other software. Always good to have an alternative....

Had to try it before I replied.... Heck yeah... if the DVD is not COPY PROTECTED, use DVD+R disc and either Sonic Media or Nero Burner and select copy disc and follow instructions takes about 6 min per disc

I use Magic DVD. From what you listed it looks like you can't burn DVDs only read them. You'd still be able to copy it to your hard drive though.

Thanks everyone. It is a CD made by me. We have kids that play sports and need to send copies to colleges. Can you download some of these free programs? Where? I have seen the shrink one.

You just have to Google the name to find the utilities that people didn't link.

If you created the CD or DVD, AND your burner can burn either DVD or CD, all you need to do is go to whatever software came with the unit or PC (Sonic, EZ Creator, etc) and find the COPY function. Very straightforward.

video made on machine at school and now its broken. Need many and its expensive to take somewhere. The AVS4U one says free but then leaves a water mark until you pay a prescription price. Any others?
