I sat in on a Corel Webinar today. It introduced it's latest product, Painter 11, describing all of its functions, designs, tools, brushes and creative abilities. :yay: :yay:

I currently own some of the Painter software and it is some hot stuff. Unfortunately, some of the bending techniques aren't compatible with my pen display, but it may be worth looking into down the road, once I learn a thing or two.

Check it out if you like digital art!

I've used Corel (WordPerfect) since it was first introduced. Since they moved to Corel - the product has gone "down the tubes!" Corel has no clue how to install a product let alone make it "play nice" with Windows. They make you goes through ten million hoops to do any upgrades, always have problem with specific printers and file swaps - just a major headache. I finally gave up and moved over to OpenOffice.

Hmmm... I remember using WP back in the day too.

I simply "dabble" with the creative tools now. I'm not sure if you followed the link, but the products have come along way since WP! :lmao: How is OpenOffice?

Sorry, I lost control on my previous reply. The last (there will be no more purchases from Corel) was PhotoImpact. Corel bought them (ULead) out and took over PhotoImpact. I upgraded (always keep current) and next thing I knew every other package I tried to install forced Corel (ULead) Installer to kick in. I contacted Corel and end up with a bunch of steps to correct THEIR problem (uninstall ULead, reinstall, do this and that, etc.). At that moment - Corel lost a customer for life. Why in the world would I have to do all those steps to fix THEIR problem. Apparently they don't have enough expertise to "automate" a fix for THEIR mistake. This was typical Corel in action. Anyway, sorry of "off-loading." OpenOffice is super! You can't tell any difference between Microsoft Office and OpenOffice. Anyway, I wouldn't touch any product that Corel owns!
