Does anyone find this years races mostly boring?
Not just because of fewer wrecks, but mostly because there is very little 2 and 3 wide racing - and the winners normally have a huge lead.
I've found it BOOOORING.
I don't think the networks are doing a good job showing us everything. During the TNT Summer Series, I saw a lot of 3-wide racing. The two races at Pocono this year were two of the best Pocono races in recent memory, though it's hard to top off Rusty's 1994 win.
There have been plenty of good races. Tracks like Chicago, Auto Club Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Kansas Speedway have always been boring. There's no changing that.
This car doesn't like driving on these big wide
flat racetracks. I think the flat is the big deal, this car puts a lot more weight on the right side and abuses that much more. It can't drive well on a flat track like Indianapolis and Auto Club Speedway.
Personally, I think NASCAR needs to knock California and Texas off the schedule entirely (although Texas sued to get two dates and there's no way NASCAR will be allowed to take a date away from them
).
