Country Ribs

Had some, wasn't sure what do do with them. found this recipe:

So, substituted the ribs for the chicken, used Dr. Pepper instead of Coke (didn't have any cola...have seen recipes using Dr. Pepper before). Cooked for 2 hours, but added 2 more on low. Took them out of the crock, slathered them with BBQ sauce and threw them on the grill to caramelize.

Tender, moist and tasty. I'd do this again.

That sounds pretty good. You cooked the ribs for 2 hours on high, and then 2 hours on low, correct. I bookmarked your recipe link.

One of my friends used to make a "Coke & ketchup" pork chops in an electric skillet.

First, brown the pork chops in an electric skillet. Take them out and drain the fat. Pour a can of coke into an electric skillet and add ketchup to that and simmer it to make a sauce. You can then add a little brown sugar, some worcestershire sauce, and even a few red pepper flakes - and it makes a really good BBQ sauce/gravy. Add the pork chops back in and simmer with the lid closed until they're tender. They are extremely tender and so good! :yum:
