Executive Order #37 limits social gatherings, youth athletics and indoor dining capacity

ANNAPOLIS (November 13, 2020) --- County Executive Steuart Pittman signed Executive Order #37 on Thursday evening, putting into effect the new COVID-19 restrictions announced on November 12. The executive order and an updated Frequently Asked Questions document are available on the county’s Road to Recovery website.

The executive order puts the following restrictions in place:

Effective Friday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Maximum number of people permitted at a social gathering are 10 indoors and 25 outdoors. (A social gathering is any informal gathering of people that is not explicitly covered in other current executive orders.)
Effective Monday, November 16 at 8:00 a.m.
  • Youth athletics are suspended for all county fields and facilities.
Effective Friday, November 20 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Maximum capacity for indoor dining operations in restaurants, bars and any food service establishment will be reduced from 50 percent to 25 percent.

So, are we back to counters at the doors of the food stores? Put back the one-way aisles that many places took out?

Those one-way signs were about as useless as it got - I really don't think ANYONE ever followed them, seeing how cumbersome it was to traverse from one aisle to another several times just to get to a particular aisle you needed something from
