CSM COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS): CSM Reviews Protocols, Continues to Monitor Reports

The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is monitoring reports surrounding the COVID-19 (the novel coronavirus) and reviewing emergency response protocols.

Included among these efforts, CSM’s Emergency Management Policy Group has met on the issue and is reviewing its Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to ensure all potential response efforts are streamlined, understood and effective.

CSM continuously communicates with students, faculty and staff to take necessary precautions and exercise good health habits to prevent the spread of viruses. Increased efforts to further sanitize shared common areas – including the library, testing labs, the fitness centers, meeting rooms and public gathering locations — are underway. Though no changes have been announced, CSM is also identifying all spring student travel courses.

At this time, CSM encourages students, faculty, staff and the public to continue to use the CSMReady webpage as a resource page for information at http://ready.csmd.edu/flu.html.

CSM’s Media Relations team will share information if operating conditions change.
