Dead Patient’s Family Sues America’s Frontline Doctors Over Hydroxychloroquine

The estate of Jeremy Parker alleges that his death was caused by a doctor and by “falsehoods spread by America’s Frontline Doctors.”

Parker heard about the group’s promotion of hydroxychloroquine and contacted it in 2021, seeking a prescription, according to the lawsuit.

Through the group, Parker was connected with Dr. Medina Culver and was said to have had a telemedicine visit soon after.

During the visit, Culver prescribed hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 treatment or prevention, the suit says. Parker then received a prescription for the drug.

In January 2022, Parker began experiencing “cold-like symptoms,” and thought he had COVID-19. Parker’s body was discovered at the home of a family friend with whom he’d been staying on Feb. 3, 2022.

Parker, 52, left behind a wife and three children.

A medical examiner concluded that the death was caused by the “therapeutic use of hydroxychloroquine.”

Dr. Robert Bruce Bannister said in an exhibit attached to the suit that Culver should not have prescribed the hydroxychloroquine because she did not physically examine him or perform any tests to determine the state of his heart. Bannister, a retired professor from the University of Nevada, Reno, said the ingestion of hydroxychloroquine may have caused the death.

🪖 OPERATION MULTIPLIER: I have the great privilege to bring you today’s orders, which are joining a critical multiplier for the legal and political defense of Dr. John Littell of Florida, who was abruptly decertified this week by the American Board of Family Medicine for spreading “covid misinformation.” You might recall Dr. Littell from last week, after he addressed the Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s board about Ivermectin, and was shockingly removed by police for his trouble.

This week’s de-certification MIGHT possibly be connected with Dr. Littell’s public advocacy for the Nobel-prize-winning, lifesaving drug last week. The timing is certainly highly suggestive. What do you think?

Here’s why this multiplier is important: If the ABFM succeeds in easily de-certifying Dr. Littell, then it and other medical boards will be emboldened, and this will be just the beginning. It is critically-important to hold the line here, for Dr. Littell as well as all the other independent medical voices of reason who were fundamentally necessary to ending the pandemic.

Is 'Long COVID' Actually a Mental Health Disorder?

We now have a wealth of evidence, painstakingly documented by an endeavoring reporter at UnHerd, that “Long COVID” may very well be a psychosocial phenomenon — in the same way that child transgenderism is — rather than an actual physiological one:

According to a US Census Bureau survey, women are almost twice as likely as men to report having it, while transgender people are significantly more likely to do so than all other groups. A German study, meanwhile, concluded “there is accumulating evidence that adolescent girls are at particular risk of prolonged symptoms”.
Given that Covid tends to affect men more than women, why would long Covid affect women more than men? And given that Covid complications are extremely rare in the young, why would teenage girls be disproportionately affected by long Covid? Finally, given that we can’t accuse a virus of transphobia, why would long Covid affect transgender people most?”

The evidence, again, compiled in the article is both exhaustive and compelling, and well worth a read, but I am particularly struck by the finding that transgenders are disproportionately affected by “Long COVID.”

The Zero COVID cult has a decidedly Social Justice™ bent, intersecting with a variety of other liberal social engineering projects like transgenderism, feminism, race politics, climate change, etc. They’re the kind of people who put pronouns in their bios and mask alone in their Priuses.

Exhibit A:

Tweets by ZeroCOVID4Ever

On its own, this is strong qualitative evidence that Long COVID is more of a fashionable virtue-signal/mental health affliction than a medical one.

💉 This week, Epoch Times ran a surprising story headlined, “Doctors Can Prescribe Ivermectin for COVID-19: FDA Lawyer.”

The shocking statements arose during a hearing in a lawsuit against the FDA brought by Drs. Mary Talley Bowden, Paul Marik, and Robert Apter. The doctors allege that the FDA interfered with their free speech rights and their medical ability to prescribe ivermectin for covid treatment. “We’re suing the FDA for lying to the public about ivermectin,” explained Dr. Bowden.

Under U.S. law, the FDA “may not interfere with the authority of a health care provider to prescribe or administer any legally marked device to a patient for any condition or disease within a legitimate health care practitioner-patient relationship.”

But in various statements, the FDA repeatedly told Americans that ivermectin "isn’t authorized or approved to treat COVID-19,” and on its website’s Q&A, warned against such use: “Q: Should I take ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19? A: No.”

On Tuesday, skeptical appellate panel judges grilled the FDA’s lawyer about this now-infamous tweet:

image 4.png

Saddled with the obvious bad optics, the FDA’s lawyer spiritedly tried to characterize the folksy instructions in that dumb-as-horse-paste tweet as just a “quip,” that did nothing more than explain the FDA’s position on taking ivermectin for your covid. But the judges didn’t seem convinced. “What about when it said, ‘No, stop it’?” Judge Jennifer Elrod asked. “Why isn’t that a command? If you were in English class, they would say that was a command.”

As a partial answer, causing everyone in the area to suddenly drop their phones and pens in shock and surprise as though an actual horse had just trotted into the courtroom, the FDA’s lawyer glibly explained, the “FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID.”

Oh. Do they. Unfortunately, that information might have been very useful to a lot of people a couple years ago. But I suppose it’s progress. This new FDA statement will be particularly helpful to heterodox doctors whose licenses and certifications are still being challenged for their positions on covid over the last three years.

In a Fox interview about the story with Maria Bartiromo, Senator Ron Johnson pointed out the biggest problem with the FDA’s belated admission: thousands of people’s lives might have been saved if the FDA weren’t undermining ivermectin the whole time.

People are dead now because of what the FDA did. But the needle just moved a little in the right direction. The ivermectin horse is out of the barn. The FDA looks like a jackass.

We may not have any prosecutions yet, but we’re that much closer.

‘For all you murderers’: Peter Navarro jabs CNN over Mayo Clinic take on Hydroxychloroquine

It wasn’t long ago that anyone who dared to suggest that the inexpensive, widely tested medicine may be beneficial for COVID patients was demonized in the mainstream media and deplatformed from social media, their reputations shredded.

Reports of success with Hydroxychloroquine were dismissed as “anecdotal” and those who prescribed it were at risk from their fellow doctors of losing their licenses to practice for spreading “dangerous” misinformation and disinformation.

“If advocating against vaccination and for therapies such as hydroxychloroquine doesn’t constitute practicing with gross incompetence, what does?” wrote Doctors Neil W. Schluger and Kenneth Prager in 2022.

Navaro has long been an outspoken proponent of Hydroxychloroquine.

In 2020, he clashed with CNN anchor John Berman, who demanded to know, “Why should we listen to you and not Dr. Anthony Fauci?”

“You presented a false case there,” Navarro replied. “Basically, what I have said — and the only thing that I have said — is that the scientific studies that I have seen point to the possibility that it has both therapeutic efficacy as well as possible prophylactic efficacy.”

“This is a situation where this drug could save lives,” Navarro said. “And I think that there needs to be a debate.”

“I would not consult someone involved with trade policy,” Berman snidely stated when asked by Navarro if he would take the medicine should he get sick. “Do you want an internist striking trade deals?”

FDA Settles Ivermectin Case, Agrees to Remove Controversial ‘Stop It’ Post

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has agreed to remove social media posts and webpages that urged people to stop taking ivermectin to treat COVID-19, according to a settlement dated March 21.

The FDA has already removed a page that said: “Should I take ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19? No.”

Within 21 days, the FDA will remove another page titled, “why you should not use ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19,” according to the settlement announcement, which was filed with federal court in southern Texas.

“The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals,” the page currently states. It also says that data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19, despite how some studies it cites show ivermectin is effective against the illness.
The FDA in the settlement is also agreeing to delete multiple social media posts that came out strongly against ivermectin, including one that stated: “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.”

In exchange, doctors who sued the agency are dismissing their claims, the filing states.

FDA Ordered by Court to Remove ‘Misinformation’ about Ivermectin Being “Horse Drug”

One memorable example of the government’s attack campaign focused on information related to Ivermectin. This particular anti-parasite drug won a Nobel Prize and had decades of human data showing that it was safe and effective. Some physicians reported good results when using it to treat patients with covid.

This is how the Food and Drug Administration chose to respond:

The agency must remove every bit of misinformation related to its “horse medicine” nonsense across all social media platforms. Bowden, the Houston-based Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist who was one of the three doctors to face-off against the federal agency, indicates that the effects of the FDA’s interference will linger.

According to the agreement, the case has been dismissed “with prejudice.” Within 21 days the FDA must remove “Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19” and delete related posts on X, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
“The damage the FDA inflicted will linger, but future patients are now protected from one meaningful government intrusion into their medical care,” said Bowden.
Last year the Texas Medical Board (TMB) filed charges against Bowden alleging she violated standards of care in prescribing medication for a patient with whom she did not have a prior physician-patient relationship and without conducting an exam. TMB also accused Bowden of unethical behavior and dissemination of disinformation.
Initially scheduled for a public hearing in April 2024, Bowden says the state has moved the case to private mediation.
