our show hats are felt ....but wheatley's tack used to do them. Mary Bell runs it. it is on wheatley rd off Oliver shop rd in charles county

Really depends on the brand/ quality of hat. I know Shorty's and Klendaniels(sp?) have high quality straw hats and thay can be shaped.

If you have a brand like those I'm sure you could send it to them to get it shaped. I have a felt from Shorty's and she does a wonderful job.

most will throw away their old tattered and stained straw hats.
Some have a metal band stitched in the outter brim of the band.
here are some tips.
I will clean and reshape but not restore felt hats.
I will not clean straw hats.
Customers take care of their own straw hats.
