Crab season?

To the best of my knowledge crabbing season doesn't start until April 1.

Your S/N reminds me of a license plate i saw this weekend. Somebody going to Lowes in St. Mary's had a license plate that said "NOSMIBS"

What does that stand for? I have a few guesses but i'm not from here, so not sure...

Crabbing season is here, but you won't find crabs from this area in the restaurants yet. They are being brought in from southern areas, such as the Carolinas. The crabs in our areas are still "hibernating" so to speak because the water temperature is too cool for them to venture out to find food. This is information I got from straight from a waterman a couple days ago. He's been doing it for over 50 years, so I believe him.

all except they are allowed to dredge for 'em over in VA so we are getting some semi-local crabs now
