Okay let me preface this by saying I don't eat seafood so I'm sorry if this a dumb question. I have house guests who are wanting to know where they can order crabs already steamed to take them home. I have no idea??? We live in Hughesville if that helps?? Who sells steamed crabs??

Don't know if he's still there, but there used to be a mobile trailer across the street from Abells on the 4-corners of 234 and 242 in Clements.

Farrell..and yes, they are still there quite often....


Edit: they are selling crabs there today...I just drove by a half hour ago.

I'm looking for a recommendation for the best restaurant/crab house to get steamed crabs to eat in the restaurant. Anyone have a recommendation for a place in Charles or St. Mary's county? We want to go tonight. Thanks!

For eating out I would recommend Clarkes Landing in Hollywood, if you looking for good crab cakes.

...or you could do like I do. Keep all the local watermen's hydraulics and mechanical boat stuff working and have 'em' call and ask if you want a couple dozen just cooked. Like happened 10 minutes ago. :razz:

Patuxent Seafood in Broomes Island. Just don't deplete the supply. We need crabs for our annual crab feast on July 18th. We use them because they are not only extremely personable, but just down the road from us.

And, don't forget about Mel's Crabs. We passed his truck on our way to Olney today. You are welcome, Roman. :smile:
