Penney was getting ready to host a backyard barbecue Sunday, when a Taurus drove off an elevated parking lot and crashed into his house in Marlborough.

The driver, who is in her 70s, refused medical treatment. Police said she apparently pressed the accelerator when she thought she was hitting the brake.
