Lock her in a trunk and throw away the key.

A mother has been charged after her 13-year-old son was found in the trunk of her car at a Cy-Fair ISD drive-thru COVID testing site, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office confirmed.

Sarah Beam has been charged with endangering a child. Cy-Fair ISD Police Department said a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

According to court documents, on Jan. 3, Beam pulled into the drive-thru testing site located at 11355 Falcon Road in northwest Harris County, when a witness reported hearing something in the trunk. The witness said when Beam unlatched the trunk, the boy was found lying down inside.

Court documents said the witnesses told Beam she would not receive a COVID test until the child was removed from the trunk and placed in the back seat of the vehicle. The witness then called police.

Beam allegedly told authorities her son had tested positive for COVID-19 and she was taking him to the site for additional testing. In order to protect herself from being exposed, Beam decided to put the boy in the trunk of the car.

Well damn: The kid was not in any danger. We used to load into the car and go to the drive-in all the time, no one died. It was kinda fun.
Todays cars have cable to unlock the trunk from the inside anyway

Maybe they arrested her for stupidity , but her son wasn't endangered, unless someone ran in the back of her car.

Our own government has caused this craziness telling us for the last 2 years how deadly this virus isn’t. Can you really blame this woman? I think she has a good case against Fauci. How else can you maintain a 6 foot distance in a car?

Honest question... how does a mom forceably put a 13-yr old boy in the trunk of a car against his will?

A handful of Benadryl in their Chocolate Milk can help smooth things over too. :yay:
My Dad would let me ride in the rear window all the time. One time my Mom saw it and screamed bloody murder at him for not putting sun screen on me.

Seriously they would have had an issue if mom had let the kid walk to the testing center by himself. The bubble wrap society isn't going to be happy until everyone is bubble wrapped.

Poor kid having to suffer his illness alone. What happened to the days when a mom would tuck you in bed, feed you soup, check your temperature, etc.

No, put them in a trunk instead and everyone is cool with it. Whole world has gone nuts.
