Lawsuit: Illinois School District Forced Students On ‘Privilege Walks,’ Compared ‘Whiteness’ To The Devil

Stacy Deemar, a middle school drama teacher, sued the school district over its curriculum allegedly forcing students to participate in “privilege walks” separated by race, comparing “whiteness” to the devil, and other lessons that pit “different racial groups against each other,” according to the suit.

“Fostering racial identities, promoting the idea that they are in conflict, and perpetuating divisive stereotypes pits teachers and children against one another based on the color of their skin,” the lawsuit says. “They teach them that their whole identity comes from the color of their skin. They teach them to hate each other. They teach them not only how to be racist, but that they should be racist.”

National Education Association Vows To Investigate Groups Opposed To Critical Race Theory Being Taught In Schools

“NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked,” the NEA’s measure reads. “The research, resources, and recommendations will be shared with members through NEA’s social media, an article in NEA Today, and a recorded virtual presentation/webinar.”

On Twitter, the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo, the most prominent critic of CRT, vowed to continue the fight against the so-called anti-racism teachings.

Nation’s Largest Teachers Union Says It Will Teach Critical Race Theory In All 50 States, 14,000 School Districts

The NEA pledged to “share and publicize” “information already available on critical race theory (CRT) — what it is and what it is not.” There will also be a team of staffers dedicated to providing members with information about how to “fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric; and share information with other NEA members as well as their community members.”

In what the NEA claims to be the inclusion of “accurate and honest teaching,” it vowed to “oppose attempts to ban critical race theory” and the New York Times’ “1619 Project,” which has been scrutinized by historians as ahistorical.

Several states across the country are fighting back against critical race theory by banning educators from teaching it as fact in public school classrooms. Idaho was the first state to pass laws banning critical race theory, and other states such as Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Florida, and Iowa passed similar legislation. Despite the bans, thousands of teachers nationwide have pledged to continue teaching critical race theory.

but I thought NOBODY was TEACHING Critical Race Theory ..... Ohh right here are some denials

The resolution flies in the face of some Democrats and many in the mainstream media who claim that critical race theory doesn’t exist.

The former Virginia Governor and current gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said that critical race theory is “another right-wing conspiracy theory” that was “totally made up by Donald Trump.” MSNBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd called critical race theory “manufactured.”

Father Eviscerates Critical Race Theory: Teaches My Daughter ‘Her Mother Is Evil’

A father named Ian Rice passionately addressed his kids’ school district to slam critical race theory during a public school board meeting.

Rice, who is black, said the theory is meant for discussion at the collegiate level and has no place in grade schools and high schools, emphasizing that its affect is to teach that “white people are bad.”

“That’s not true,” the father asserted. “That would teach my daughter that her mother is evil.”

Nation’s Largest Teachers Union Scrubs Website Of Pledge To Teach Critical Race Theory

The passage of the agenda item flew in the face of several Democrats and many in the mainstream media who claim that critical race theory doesn’t exist. Reason columnist Robby Soave opined that “many progressives rested their entire defense of CRT on the idea that it’s a very narrowly defined aspect of elite law school training.”

The former Virginia Governor and current gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said that critical race theory is “another right-wing conspiracy theory” that was “totally made up by Donald Trump.” A former ThinkProgress employee said that the idea that critical race theory is taught in K-12 schools a lie.

MSNBC has perpetuated the myth that critical race theory is a hoax as well. “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd called critical race theory “manufactured,” while anchor Joy Reid accused leading anti-CRT activist Christopher Rufo of “making up your own thing, labeling it something that already existed as a name, slapped that brand name on it, and turned it into a successful political strategy.”

Thousands of teachers pledge to break anti-critical race theory laws

The Zinn Education Project launched the effort in June and singles out proposed legislation in 21 states, which the signers pledge to violate should they become law.

A statement attached to the pledge reads, “the major institutions and systems of our country are deeply infected with anti-Blackness and its intersection with other forms of oppression. To not acknowledge this and help students understand the roots of U.S. racism is to deceive them.”

The pledge then states, “We, the undersigned educators, refuse to lie to young people about U.S. history and current events — regardless of the law.”

Below the pledge is a public list of the thousands of teachers who have attached their signatures to it.

Banning CRT is Like Germany Banning Accurate Holocaust Teachings

They also argued that red states banning the controversial doctrine is a form of censorship and that denying critical race theory from being taught is a way of turning history into propaganda.

"Let’s not mince words about these laws," the article read. "They are speech codes. They seek to change public education by banning the expression of ideas."

Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee have all signed legislation into law that would ban critical race theory in schools, according to NBC News. More than 20 additional states have proposed bills looking to enact similar bans.

Anti-CRT Advocate Chris Rufo: 'They are Teaching Children Whiteness Is the Devil'

"What I'm concerned about, and what millions of parents are really concerned about is things that are happening in hundreds of public schools in Illinois and Chicago, where they're teaching children as young as kindergarten that whiteness is the devil and attempts to lure people into it with the promise of stolen land and stolen riches."

The book Rufo mentions is called "Not My Idea" and is "A Book About Whiteness," written by Anastasia Higginbotham. Aside from being taught to kindergartens in Illinois, the book has found ground in Pennsylvania where Gladwyne Elementary School requires fourth and fifth graders to read the book.

Children who read this book are told adults hide bad things from them because they are scared, and do not know how to tell their children about injustice. Higginbotham explains that the problem is of course racism, which as these children recently learn, "is a white person's problem and we are all caught up in it--mostly by refusing to look at it."

"Understanding the truth takes courage. Especially a painful truth about your own people, your own family" the book asserts. "Even people you love may behave in ways that show they think they are the good ones."

CNN: ‘Panic’ over Critical Race Theory Because White People ‘Afraid They Might Be Complicit in Racism’

In a story and video by New York-based correspondent Elle Reeve, and video producers Deborah Brunswick and Samantha Guff, CNN claims, without evidence, that conservatives use “Critical Race Theory” to mean “any instruction about the role of race in America, past or present.”

That is what Democrats claim conservatives want, usually as a straw man to deflect criticism, but what conservatives really object to is far more specific — as the story inadvertently reveals.

CNN interviews public high school teacher Keziah Ridgeway, who says that “race and racism are literally the building blocks of this country.”

That is what conservatives oppose, pointing instead to the principles of liberty and equality in America’s founding documents. Conservatives also oppose the idea that America is beset by “systemic racism,” which suggests the country’s institutions remain racist even after the civil rights era, the Civil War, and generations of change.

OLD WISE ONE
Texas Teacher Loses Her Mind Because She Can't Teach CRT Anymore

This is your feel-good video of the day! Governors in red states are joining together to ban racist and divisive indoctrination from the classroom called Critical Race Theory. This extremely unpopular propaganda that divides people by race and seeks to elevate one race over all others is not “education” but is racist dogma that has no business in publicly-funded schools.

Left-wing teachers who have been indoctrinating students with Marxist rhetoric are not happy that their ability to destroy your kids’ minds has been curtailed. One teacher in Texas took to social media to express her unhappiness at having her poisoned tongue silenced. Hilariously, she admits that she wants to teach “divisive” garbage. Out of breath during a slow-paced walk, the teacher complains:

Good thing they are not letting them teach this. This WACK JOB needs to be fired!!
