Crochet Pattern Help

I used to have a pattern a long time ago, that I can't seem to find anymore. Basically I made strips in a half shell pattern and then looped around them with double chains followed by single chains and then the strips were crocheted together. I think. But I'm not getting it right from memory. So I searched the internet over and can't seem to find it.

The closest I've found is this http://www.nanasbeadandcrochet.com/image_manager/attributes/image/image_2/42660536_10306221.JPG image of a similar blanket style which was called "Striped shell baby afghan". It was for sell. However, I'm looking for the pattern. I've found several patterns called shell afghan or striped shell, but they aren't even close to the pattern I want. Anybody know of a different name for this style pattern or maybe have the directions stashed away in one of their books/magazines?

TIA

I think what you're talking about is called a mile a minute pattern. Anyway I can get a pic of what Kwilla sent? I have several mile a minute's. That's what my mom called them

So now that I know the name, I did another search...Can you believe there's about a million different "Mile a Minute" patterns?! :faint:

Thanks everyone for your help.

I found this one and it's closest to my memory.

That's it! What colors are you going to do? Now I need to do one.

I found this yarn (called toasted) and just need to get some supporting colors. I think I have enough yarn to plan on making a bed-sized blanket.
