I tend to get a lot of my supplies from Michael's in California. However the fabric store (is it Joanne's?) up in San Souci plaza in California has really neat off the wall patterns and supplies as well.

Michael's is OK, but they don't carry alot of specialty stuff.
I guess I got spoiled - the shop I used to go to when I lived down in SC was exclusively cross stitch. They had all kinds of linen and other things you don't find in regular fabric stores, etc. Thanks for your reply!

Hi Gemini...don't know if you are still looking for some cross stitch stuff, but I buy most of my off of this website http://www.herrschners.com they have a lot of great products. There is also an ACMoore in Waldorf which is pretty much like Michaels, but I think they have a bigger selection of cross stitch products.

http://www.michelleink.com/ This is a place in Laurel that I used to go to when I was heavily into cross-stitching. They had everything, it was a fun store to shop in. It's a way up the road, however, about an hour and fifteen from northern St. Mary's.
