That always fascinates me. How someone can rise as a leader and arbiter of truth when they're nothing more than lying deceitful scumbags. And anyone who happens to notice out loud is mobbed by villagers with torches and pitchforks.
Humans love to be lied to. They love to be fooled. They will go to the mat for their object of adulation, even after it's proven beyond dispute that that person is a lying POS. They will lie right in front of someone who knows the truth because they know that the majority will believe them and turn on the person shining the light on their lies.
There have been two prominent posters on here who did this. They started off with knowledge and common sense to build a fan club, then gradually showed their true colors. By then they had quite the following, so they could then spew Marxist bullshit and their adoring public would gobble it up and beg for more. Because I loathe propaganda and abhor mindless cult followers, I busted them both out right in public, which led to them running away never to be seen on here again. One minute they were stars and the next minute just a bit of light shone on them caused them to scatter like roaches. Didn't bother to refute me because that's not what they were here for - they were here to build a coalition, then use it to spread propaganda. And they couldn't come back from being busted because what are they gonna say?
Oh, and I got ripped for "running them off".
I'd like to be a person who's just in it for the bucks and yuks, but unfortunately I hate being lied to and am physically incapable of going along with a crowd that's being inane. I tried it for a little while but eventually the person goes too far and I have to say something. I don't make a good shill. I would suck at politics as it is today. I resent when someone insults my intelligence and puts me in that position. Money and power is not my primary motivator.
It's exactly like all the verminous tweakers leaving Twitter for BlueSky - they don't want anyone talking back. They say since Musk bought Twitter it became this horrible hate-filled whatever, when the whole time it was them being horrible and hate-filled and under the old ownership anyone who disagreed with them was banned. So now they're over at BlueSky being ugly with no pushback, so they consider that a lovefest of peace and tranquility....while they're posting child porn and calling for assassinations. SO inclusive!
