Latest news is that this girl still has the hiccups and cannot stop.
Story: "ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Jennifer Mee can't stop hiccuping.

For more than three weeks now, the 15-year-old St. Petersburg teen has hiccuped close to fifty times a minute, despite the best efforts of doctors and home remedies.

She's had blood tests, a C-T scan and an M-R-I. Drugs haven't worked. Neither has holding her breath, putting sugar under her tongue, sipping pickle juice, breathing into a paper bag and drinking out of the wrong side of a glass. People have even tried to scare them out of her.

The hiccups stop when she's sleeping.

It is not clear what triggered Jennifer's hiccups, which started about three weeks ago. Her mother, Rachel Robidoux, recently turned to the local newspaper for help. As she told the St. Petersburg Times, "At this point, we're willing to do anything."

Any suggestions as to how to stop the hiccups?
:lmao: "hiccup..."

I saw her on TV this weekend and I say :bs:

This she is faking it?

I would think drugs would stop the muscle spasms. (That is what a hiccup is..spasam of the diaphram muscle).

I think she is. She had absolutely no problem having a conversation..not one hiccup at all. And they are really fast, close together..just not natural.

I have a cure for hiccups that has worked for me everytime. It looks odd though.

What you do is fill a glass with a beverage (water, coke, whatever). With both of your index fingers, push close the sides of your nostrils. Next take your thumbs and close the openings of your ears. With your remaining fingers, pick up the glass and drink (while continuing to hold your nose and ears closed) and swallow.

I know this will look odd, but it's worked for me everytime!
