Do you agree with the verdict?
WHY is that a curious question???
a) If the answer is YES!...then the respondent is gleefully agreeing with the verdict...and completely ignoring the bias, the pledges, the donations, the instructions to the jury, the setting...and are pleased that their version of "just us" has been applied.
**Do they know what they are cheering? Pure 3rd world banana republic compromised law. You could find this in the Soviet Gulag sentencing or the German Courts up til 1945.
**Do they know that a proper appeals court will vacate the ruling...overturning their frolic?
b) If they say NO!...there is instant shock and horror by the gleeful media addicts that an American would disrespect such an austere judicial ruling.
**It means one actually has a sense of politics & history...KNOWING that this will cement more of the people who believe the Justice system has TWO standards, and is generally unfair. It will embolden supporters (ie 50 million$$ donated since then).
**It means that in the long run, they understand that the pendulum will swing even HARDER back the other direction as the winds shift.
IE? John Adams...watch the HBO episode one...when John has the hugely unpopular task of defending the Crown's forces in the Boston Massacre. He has to stand against the mob's false testimony, intimidation, and remain true to the scales of justice. The event help embolden our future President and guide the administration of our Revolution.
So I do not engage with witless cheerleaders on FB...who obviously fall into the first category. Though they were associates and friends at one point in my life,...their polarization and loss of common sense deems them unworthy of response. Were they to face peril and abuse for their current position,...I would not offer comfort, nor defend them. Let them pay the price for their ignorance no matter what association we formerly had.
