Schilling says season, and possibly career, is over

Apparently, Curt Schilling is going to undergo surgery on his shoulder Monday, and will miss the rest of the season.

He also said he may not throw off the mound ever again. Wow!

He really hasn't been a factor since the middle of last season. So; while he was instrumental in the 1st championship, unfortunately, it's a "what have you done for me lately" kinda world. With a rotation of Beckett/Dice-K/Wakefield/Lester/Bucholz & Masterson in reserve, all they need to find is someone to replace Timlin in the bullpen.
