I'm hoping to head back to NY LI eventually, so I've done the math. When you get everything accounted for, apples to apples, MD is just as expensive as NY. I was getting so much flack from everyone about how crazy I was, how expensive NY was. It's a wash.

Just wait until NY adds on single payer healthcare.
