Cutting the lawn..

... and I get THWACKED upside the head with this acorn. Biggest friggin' acorn I've ever seen! The small one is what I call a "normal" acorn.

I have seen about 10 squirrels in the past two weeks with these things in their mouths. But they are usually both the same size and huge.

Finishing last
Bumper crop of acorns this year. I have to wear my helmet to do yard work. It's like a combat zone.

Last years acorn were bumper crops too! We had to take cover to go from the vehicles to the house:lol:

I've got a metal box trailer and carport right under one of these trees. My bedroom window faces that way. All night long...........................

I'll take an acorn over a hickory nut any day. :concussion: Squirrel was running along the deck yesterday with what I first thought was a big green tennis ball in his mouth. :lmao:
