This is a long essay...BUT, it spells out more clearly than others...the huge gap between the thinking on the left and the thinking on the right.
For those who stoicly feel that the major parties are not all that different: read this!

And yes...it does make a difference if you believe in the the phrase "Under God" or if you believe the state IS god.
