That's a matter of opinion, now isn't it?Oh good grief, what I posted was no where near being considered bullying.

Aww Chasey that was sweet of you, but trust me I know what I look like, italian chick with a big nose. LOL, but thats cool we all can't be pretty.FWIW, I think you are attractive. You should feel the same about yourself.![]()

Ding! Ding! Ding! Winna, winna, chicken dinna! That's a matter of opinion, now isn't it?

Exactly, and if the person I was talking to felt that I was bullying them, and asked me to back off I would in a instant. Which was my point the whole time. That's a matter of opinion, now isn't it?
So, then you agree that this vague legislation is bull crap and should be fed to the roosters?Exactly,
I agree it is vague and it will be hard to pin point, but I also think that people should carry themselves better and stop thinking it is only the internet, because like it or not there are real people behind each of these forum names, and joking is one thing, but if someone says enough is enough then it is time to just back off.So, then you agree that this vague legislation is bull crap and should be fed to the roosters?

See, this is where I disagree.I agree it is vague and it will be hard to pin point, but I also think that people should carry themselves better and stop thinking it is only the internet, because like it or not there are real people behind each of these forum names, and joking is one thing, but if someone says enough is enough then it is time to just back off.

Nobody is forcing them to read the forums or anything else. Just like nobody forces anyone to listen to the radio or watch television or go shopping during Christmastime.
Yet we write bull#### laws aimed to regulate television and radio to make it kid friendly. We all but prohibit Christmas displays because 3% of the country doesn't like it and is offended by it.
Now, we've banned ATVs for kids because a kid might eat an ATV battery, lol. Where does the retardation end? What's next?
Are we going to ban music with lyrics because people are offended by the lyrics in a rap song?
Are we going to ban football because someone gets seriously hurt playing football?
Oh...maybe we should ban cars because drunk drivers get in accidents.![]()
As would I. But not all of us are formed from the same mold.Exactly, and if the person I was talking to felt that I was bullying them, and asked me to back off I would in a instant. Which was my point the whole time.

hmmm, good points too. That is where I said it would be hard to pin point. But common courtesy and manners is not asking to much if the person on the other end is asking for it.See, this is where I disagree.

Kinda like a murder victim who had a restraining order against her murderer.![]()
OH... IDEA!hmmm, good points too. That is where I said it would be hard to pin point. But common courtesy and manners is not asking to much if the person on the other end is asking for it.

Good grief, at least BF is funny.OH... IDEA!
Let's ban rudeness and require all citizens to be courteous at all times!
This will work, right?![]()
What's the real problem here? I mean, you've expressed yourself nine ways from Sunday and have gotten more than that in answers but you're still not satisfied. Crikey, everyone does not have to agree on everything! Most of the OP here are right - you get what you ask for on the forums.Mike that is not the point, if someone wanted to come to somd.com they should be able to do so and know they are not going to be subjected to the bullshiat that happens in here. If certain people like to have fun with each other thats fine, but when someone says, enough is enough and express they are not comfortable with the way they are being treated then it is time to back off.
I never said it was all threads or all newbies that experince this at all times. But it does happen. We are all adults in here (for the most part), it should not be asking too much if the person on the other end does not feel comfortable with the way a member is speaking to them to ask them to back off.
OMG. THEN DON'T POST AT ALL on the internets! That way, no one in the whole wide world will EVER SEE a reply that was not made to YOU.I agree with If one person is harassing another person, and that other person is harassing right back. But in a forum such as this when they do not enjoy it, the words they say are not spoken they are writen, and left for all others to see.
If I come into a thread that I am interested in talking about, and I have one person in here that does not like me and looks for me in here just to harrass me, sure I can ignore it, but it does not take away the fact the words they printed in here for others to read.
I have never been cyber bullied, but I used to get real life bullied all the time in high school.

I have the rights to post just like everyone else in here, and if I posted more than once, it could have been a response to my posts. Why do you care what I post? And as far as self control, I think that is what I was saying all along, you can't ask some to demonstrate self control and not others. What's the real problem here? I mean, you've expressed yourself nine ways from Sunday and have gotten more than that in answers but you're still not satisfied. Crikey, everyone does not have to agree on everything! I've been here since 2006 and probably lurked off/on a couple of years before that. I've never had a problem with being harrassed or chased down by the supposed meamies. I've disagreed with some people, sure. That's part of discussions, debates, etc. For the most part, though - I haven't ever had a problem.
However, I also don't continuously put myself into threads and posting situations that cause problems for me or others. I've been in plenty of confrontational threads (mostly in the political, news and/or parenting forums) and have never been kicked off here or gotten penalities or whatever you call them. And I've seen even more threads where I just back out quietly when I think it's something I'm not into or don't want to be a part of. I think that's called self control.
It's really quite easy to get along around here. If you want to.
Ohhhh because I am the only passing this, and I am the creator of this and I and only I have a issue with this.OMG. THEN DON'T POST AT ALL on the internets! That way, no one in the whole wide world will EVER SEE a reply that was not made to YOU.
What is so hard to understand about that?!
