Decades ago I was living in Florida on active duty. I could fly space A which was more or less free. I had people I could stay with in Europe. We went twice in a 6 month period. 1 of the neighbors made a comment that it must be nice to go to Europe so often. But the financial reality was it was cheaper for us to go to Europe for a week than to go to Orlando for a long weekend.
