More than likely many of you have received the "MD 4 - Thomas Johnson Bridge Planning Study" document in the mail?

Besides citing the obvious traffic issues with the bridge, Rt 4 and the 235/Rt 4 intersection, such as; "Currently, the MD 4/MD 235 intersection has operational problems". The documnet poses four questions:

1. What are the top three transpotation issues in the project area?

a. Too much traffic on MD 4
b. Traffic Safety
c. Delyas on MD 235
d. Delays at unassigned intersections
e. Sppeding
f. Delays across the bridge
g. Bicycle and pedestrian safety
h. Other

2. When is the most difficult time to travel in the project area?

a. Moring rush hour
b. Evening rush hour
c. Weekends
d. All of the above

3. What improvemnets do you think would help most?

a. Intersection/traffic signal improvements
b. Widening of the bridge
c. Reconstruction of certain segmnets of MD 4
d. Do nothing
e. Other

4. What types of "impacts" concern you most?

a. Imapcts to homes and businesses
b. Impacts to the natural environmnet
c. Impacts during construction
d. Noise
e. Other

So, what ya got? :bubble:

I got mine, too. It would be cool if they'd make that a four-lane bridge, but it would suck during the construction.

:howdy:

I sent mine in...

and suggested they hire someone good at building bridges that don't need structural band-aids a few years after construction is completed.

I didn't get one but I would like the bridge to be enclosed.
In what?

How about a vehicle slingshot to the other side instead of a bridge?

I didn't get one, but I don't think the bridge needs to be that tall. :yikes:

:offtopic:

Speaking of tall. I'm afraid of heights, but I was proud of my self for running across that bridge for the Special Olympics Torch Run this year.
