Dear Canadians...... I speak from knowledge that she went about it all the wrong way. Back in the 1980's a local Police Department in the Washington Metropolitan area started a B.P.O.A, , (Black Police Officers Association), promoted affirmative action programs, had "special study" groups to get diversity in the ranks. Now the Department had been reduced to "mall rental security" guards with dreadlocks and can barely recruit 19 people to fill its ranks. So, give her a break, she be new at this sh!t....
Tiffany Henyard??? Ms. Mosby? Mel Franklin?, Trayon White??? Hello. Hello...

The now former sup. was just practicing the micro-level EEO...you know, the way colleges and universities and government agencies have been doing for decades: rigging the system because they believe that those they are purporting to help are too stupid and/or inept to make it on their own merits.

From the article:

"The local black community, meanwhile, made it clear they were watching the case as well.

'The community will be extremely disappointed and offended if Superintendent Stacy Clarke receives a disproportionate discipline for her actions,' wrote one observer who attended the May hearing virtually.

'It will definitely be seen as a direct result of systemic racism which is deeply entrenched in policing. And it will unequivocally impact the relationship between the police and the Canadian Black community,' they said."

They really are like children. Whenever they don't get their way, they riot. Er, I mean throw a tantrum. Here we are in 2024 where they don't even have put in the work. All they have to do is threaten.
