Sad

The leader of the band is tired
And his eyes are growing old
But his blood runs through
My instrument
And his song is in my soul-
My life has been a poor attempt
To imitate the man
I’m just a living legacy
To the leader of the band
I am the living legacy
To the leader of the band.

RIP Dan
Trim my sails to greet the breaking morning
Past the headlands to the rolling open sea
And it comes to me, I have never felt so free
As when I’m listening to the, the song of the sea

I bet there is hardly a person amongst us who hasn't sang to "Same Old Lang Syne" and didn't feel the lyrics.

Rest in peace Dan

Such sad news. I too grew up with his music. His songs will live on forever. May he Rest in Peace.

Look my ass glows!
One of my favorite songs

It sounds corny, but it really is true that I've thought about past lovers when I've heard Another Auld Lang Syne. Life may not work out the way we wish it would have when we look back, but it still leaves us memories, some of them wonderful, if bittersweet.

RIP Dan

I still have a couple of his albums on vinyl. What a sad loss and he was so young, too. :frown:
