Anyone have/play this? I've seen it at Hyperspace but never bothered to play. My husband has been dying for it, so this weekend he got it and the dance pad. It's SOOOOOOOOO much fun and boy, what a workout! There's even a workout mode!

I use it for workouts constantly. I will mention that the pads don't last long in some cases. You get what you pay for, so start with either the pad that comes with it (Konomi) or a low cost one (20 bucks). If you start to really use the system, you might want to look into the nicer pads. I hightly recommend the RedOctane pads, they're expensive, but they mimic the arcade experience better and are easier on your feet.

Sorry about that chief.
I just bought one, the xbox & all two days ago. It took a lot of web searching to find the pads, got the box & game @ walmart.com. The PS2 has more versions, but I figured the xbox would be better for other games.

The game has a workout version that lets you count calories burned. I got 2 of the medium priced pads, red-octane pads or metal ones are $100+ apiece. My only gripe with the xbox version over the PS2 version is there are very few easy songs, most of the stuff is INSANE.

The wife wanted an exercise machine so I got this, I figured a bowflex would end up as expensive coat hanger after a while, the xbox will find other uses even if the DDR doesn't get used. Both my 6 & 3 year old girls love it too, I even use it, just to show the wife I'm a better dancer than her. Man what a workout, sweated like a whore in church!

If you're doing workout as a noob, turn the "workout mode" on, which drops the eighth notes. This means all the arrows will be on the beats, with none between them. Later you might want this off, to up the difficulty and pace, and because they're fun.

You really want to walk through all the settings that you have available, because some really change how the game plays. You'll also want to understand what the "feet" mean (the level of difficulty) on the song selection screen and what the difficulty web represents (high chaos is bad, high air isn't too bad, etc).
