Daniel 2:24 Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him.”
25 Arioch took Daniel to the king at once and said, “I have found a man among the exiles from Judah who can tell the king what his dream means.”
26 The king asked Daniel (also called Belteshazzar), “Are you able to tell me what I saw in my dream and interpret it?”

As soon as Daniel figured out what was going on, and as soon as he and the crew prayed, Daniel went out to find Arioch. Arioch was not particularly looking forward to killing all these people over a dream that no one could possibly know about. After all, the king himself couldn't remember the dream so how could anyone else tell him what he had dreamed, let alone interpret it.
Daniel, had shown some promise in the past. Take the food debacle for example. He had been proven right. AND if Daniel and his crew could indeed interpret the dream... that would quite a feather [better yet a whole headdress] in Arioch's cap.
AND Anioch was well aware that Daniel had found some favor in the king's eye. Who else would have gotten away with those strange eating habits. Who turns down wine from the king's own table and gets away with it. So if Daniel and his crew failed, Anioch could always say, he knew they were just lucky but very ignorant.... "pretending to know everything".
So Anioch took a prayed up Daniel and crew to the king.
