Daniel 7 Interpretation Begins

Daniel 7:15 “I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this.

“So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: 17 ‘The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth. 18 But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.’

I can imagine Daniel was indeed troubled. I mean the most natural of all the beasts was the bear and even the bear was chomping on ribs. If I had a dream about a lion with wings, a leopard with four heads and some kind of beast with shifting horns, I'd want to wake up too!

Governments will come and go, but the Kingdom of Heaven established by Jesus Christ will last forever.

This is the simple explanation of the vision. Daniel is so distraught, though, that he will certainly want to know more about what he saw. The beast that he could not describe is playing on his mind.

I've never asked for the meaning of a dream while I was having it. I barely remember the majority of my dreams, let alone write them down in detail afterward. Can you imagine for a second what was plaguing Daniel?

Remember, Daniel didn't live the comparatively easy life we live. I've never been thrown into a pit with a hungry lion, have you? My friends were never thrown into a smelting fire, let alone survived it without even the hint of scorch on their clothes.
