This kind of weather just sucks the life out of me. No motivation, sitting around with a heavy sweatshirt, bones starting to ache. Finally turned on the pellet stove to warm up and dry out.

Worked fine for me. I was canning apple pie filling and applesauce all day. Got a canner full going now and just one more to go. With the canner going all day it's been nice inside. Smells good too!

Sat outside in a covered gazebo yesterday with great friends. Had a propane fire pit going. Raw and grilled oysters, burgers, and home made mac n cheese - not to mention good bourbon and college football playing on the outdoor tv.
You just gotta roll with it.

I worked all day and it was busy. People come in a lot in crappy weather! I met hubby at Barrel 9 afterwards and we had a snackie dinner and some good wine.
Today seems less dreary and I am working again. Hope for the same amount of people and traffic!

Our annual oyster feast is out on the island this afternoon. Lovely day for a 1-mile boat ride and standing around outside eating oysters and drinking heavily.

I was supposed to help someone stock her shop in St. Leonard today. I can't remember where you've said your shop was. Is that the place? She got in cleaning mode yesterday and we never got around to pricing and loading, so I don't know what our plans are now.

Butt seriously, this is the time of year that my wife and I take our Harleys and go "camp out" in an AirBnB somewhere in the mountains for a week. Just ride, hit antique shops, and watch the leaves turn color. Losing my son turned all that upside down and sideways...so hopefully next year...
