Back in the saddle
T-Bone and Heather’s Star 98.3 FM Morning Show hosted Sheriff Timothy Cameron, D.A.R.E. Officer, Deputy First Class. Angela Muller and Sergeant Steven Hall, Supervisor of Special Operation Division on Wednesday morning to promote Camp D.A.R.E.

Camp D.A.R.E will begin on July 7, 2008 and continue through July 11, 2008 at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. Camp D.A.R.E. runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Campers entering the 5th and 6th grades in the 2008 - 2009 school years are eligible to participate. Best of All - Camp D.A.R.E is FREE!

Camp D.A.R.E is a coordinated effort between the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Mary’s County Public Schools. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office certified D.A.R.E instructors will teach seventy-five students. Campers will receive a certificate of completion at the end of camp. Campers will also participate in numerous camping activities including arts and crafts, recreational competitions and public safety related demonstrations.

The interview lasted approximately 30 minutes and was conducted with T-Bone and Heather’s usual enthusiastic support of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and their programs. Star 98.3 FM also posted a link on their website’s home page promoting Camp D.A.R.E. Sheriff Cameron wishes to thank T-Bone and Heather, Star 98.3 FM and all of the local media for their support in promoting this very important summer program.
