Mattel’s Barbie Signature David Bowie Barbie Doll #2 is dressed in a replica powder-blue suit Bowie wore in his ‘Life on Mars?’ music video

A new David Bowie Barbie doll is about to hit store shelves.

On Wednesday, the toy brand – owned by Mattel – released a second David Bowie doll in its Signature Collection.

The new David Bowie Barbie wears a powder-blue suit, just like the iconic suit Bowie wore in his "Life on Mars?" music video from the "Hunky Dory" album.

"Barbie first honored Bowie three years ago by recreating his Ziggy Stardust alter ego, complete with space suit and makeup effects in doll form," the company added.

Nope. If it were a Ziggy Stardust portrait doll I'd buy it in a second, but those cheap zoner celebrity dolls are crap.

I have a number of celebrity and pop culture Barbies, but they're actual dolls of Diana Ross, Lucy, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, etc, and look like them, not "Barbie as Scarlett O'Hara" or "Ken as Elvis". Those are garbage.

Just sneakin' around....
I have a pair of Star Trek Barbie and Ken, NIB. I overheard Barbie say she was fed up with Ken playing dress up. Maybe I could set her up with Bowie....

We were lucky and just a short bicycle ride away was a Baptist Home for Children.
Everything there was free and easy.
