Speaking from the White House Monday morning, President Donald Trump announced he is deploying the National Guard to the streets of Washington D.C. to restore law and order against "wild youths," "homeless" and "maniacs." The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is now under the command of Attorney General Pam Bondi and Home Rule has been invoked.

Can't find a citation but didn't Clinton deployed the guard to DC back in the '90's?

Problem has been carjackings, which have become very violent and the perps are all juveniles. So they’re getting away with it. Just read an article where a guy mentions his car getting stolen - recovered in a couple days - but the interior is shot to hell, windows smashed AND he had to pay 300 to get it out of the lot.

So - basically - they’ll get your car back - in pieces - but they ain’t catching nobody..

And yeah, so what, there’s been a drop in crime. Still on the top ten most dangerous in the country.

And widespreadconcealed carry with a permanent penalty would solve that in short order.

There hasn't been, though. Police Chief just caught hell for cooking the books:

He’s just following in the footsteps of his Democrat forebears.

It’ll be interesting to find out if Kash Patel and Dan Bongino can find all the missingdocumentation for the genuine statistics in the FBI crime reports for 2021 through 2024.

....wasn't Biden crowing about lower crime rates when there were states not included?

Depending on an internal investigation to find just about anything wrong in DC----aint gonna work well.

"We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing."

Bowser did a press conference today and had the nerve to say DC is safe, and the schools are top-notch, as is public transportation.

:roflmao:

What she means to say is that she and her pals are safe in their ritzy enclaves, their children go to private school, and they have a personal driver. "What crime? Ain't no crime in my neighborhood 🤷‍♀️ "

They weren't turning in the stats to the FBI .
Definitely. There were some jurisdictions where suddenly - there was no crime.

And they did some cooking of the stats like reclassifying juvenile crimes so that they'd go under the radar.
After all, no one wants to know that their city is unsafe.

But from what I read - the cops arrive afterward, make a report, get your car back (and you have to PAY them - I am not kidding)
and the perps can steal it AGAIN. They do not stop crime. Nada.

Sounds somewhat familiar....

Miscellaneous Fun Fact: St Mary's County Sheriffs do NOT file police reports for car accidents unless a car is incapacitated and has to be towed AND/OR someone gets taken away in an ambulance with injuries.

They have concealed carry out here in Arizona. It's just more violent. It doesn't solve anything. Open carry is better... at least it's a deterrent.

I'm not sure how safe we would feel with every moron in town having a gun strapped to their leg. But at least they would be afraid. Concealed carry is just sneaky!!!! Concealed carry is no big deal in Tombstone!!! [Never has been]

By the way... The consensus out here in my neighborhood is that Washington DC is safe and Bondi won't have a single case to bring to trial. DC is safe... Ah ha ha....
