Deadlifts...

I only do the deadlifts in Body Pump class, which I am supposed to take 2x a week. I might make 1x a week, so I am trying to get back on schedule - what with some family illness matters taking me away, and then the summer activities going on, etc.

So how many dead lifts do you do? I am sure your weights are a lot higher than my little bit of weights I use(20-25lbs. + the bar) but just for grins - how much weight?

I took a "vacation" from them.

At my best, I think it was 405 for a few...

Yesterday, it was 135, nothing more. I couldn't get the movement correct so I figure I'd play it safe until I can get my PT to correct everything.

I just attribute it to getting old. :cds:

You do Body Pump, that's 10x harder than weight training where I can get a few minutes to relax before the next set...

Really?! I didn't realize that.

I've been doing BP for about 2-1/2yrs 2X a week. I love it! (plus, I did cardio walking & an aerobics class) When I go regularly, I feel very good. Normally, I don't miss it, but I've had lots of obligations the past 6 months that took me away. After getting tendonitis in my ankle, I have not been able to do my regular walks, either. I'm getting very antsy about not working out regularly, so I'm going to try and ease back into a routine again.

In my opinion, it is... I was forced to take a class a few years ago when I used to tease some of the members about taking the class. I loaded the bar so I could show them how easy it was. Worst mistake EVER...

I was super proud of myself for 70lbs ( I do like 5 reps, though, I am not sure what my max would be) :killingme my goal is 120..I increased it from 90lbs after I saw a youttube vid of the cutest, leanest, most adorable blonde chick DL 250lbs with perfect form. I almost cried I felt so wimpy after that :lmao:

I feel like I get more out of stiff leg DL with dumbells, though. I feel it in my hamstrings more rather than my low back. I want glorious hamstrings.
