Buchanan's principles and politics are solid, but the way he preaches politics doesn't help him any. Buchanan's decent in my book.

When I was in college I was much more passionate and left, but I was just thinking the other day I am much more moderate now then anything. I am a registered democrat, but I wouldn't hestitate to vote for a moderate republican if I agreed with their politics. That being said, I rarely read the political threads on this site or any others for that matter because my tolerance for personal attacks on candidates/politicians and their families, easpecially children that don't ask to be in the lime light, is very low. Why waste my time or peace of mind on loonies from either side?I know I couldn't be in politics because if someone attacked my children for any reason the momma bear would come out in me and I can hold a mean grudge. Kids screw up and make mistakes. If there is one adult in this world that has never screwed up whether you got caught or not, I would love to meet them. Shoot, I know I am still alive and not in jail only because of God's grace for some of the stupid stuff I did growing up. I got three kids and they have screwed up and they will probably screw up again, does that mean they shouldn't be successful or hold top spots in a company or the world? NO! Am I a bad mother because of it? NO!

In all fairness, why should they bother? When some left-wing twonk posts something stupid, or some left-wing politician jams their head firmly between their gluteus maximi, there are plenty of right-wing folks on this forum who will, more than adequately, put them through the ringer, examine the issue from every side imaginable, and then hang them up to dry by their drained entrails.
It's kind of like when I'm in the Religion forum, occasionally a Christian will post something that makes me want to cringe, but I don't bother to retailiate, because I know that there is already an atheist pounding away at their keyboard, wiping the saliva from their chops between keystrokes.
