If you are alarmed by abortion backlash and voters wanting to walk it back, you have only yourselves to blame. You used to say that abortion should be "safe, legal, and rare" and many of those who morally oppose abortion held their nose and said fine. Then you started calling for late term abortions, and publicly funded abortions, and partial birth abortions, and post-partum abortions that are flat out infanticide.
And because that wasn't gross enough, you all took to the microphone to brag about your abortions and glorify them, saying it was the best thing that ever happened to you. Right in front of your born children. "Yes, little Prunella, you'd have brothers and sisters but Mommy paid someone to kill them."
You insisted that very young girls be allowed to get abortions without their parents' knowledge.
You smeared offensive abortion statements on churches, and statues of Jesus, and wore t-shirts with vile obscene imagery in your protests. You screamed obscenities and physically attacked those who don't agree with you.
Your overlords in the media tried to hide you, tried to portray you as sensible champions of reproductive freedom. But not only did other media outlets out you, you outed yourselves on social media. You posted these things from your own accounts, in your own words, your own vile opinions.
You thought we wouldn't see you, but we did. And now we're so offended and grossed out by you that even pro-choicers like me think you've gone way too far, so ghoulish and disgusting that it's time to rein you in.
So if you lose what you thought was your "right" to unlimited, unregulated, unfettered abortion, just remember you did it to yourselves.
