Good Lord I aint never read a more startlin story. See this is why regular people shouldn't mess with stuff and leave it to us scientists. I bein an inventor and obligated to test my own inventions have had quite a few casts. As a matter of fact I have had som many broke bones Rodd used to call me Tim Taylor from one of his favorite TV shows.

I sure do know how much those things itch but I would never put refrigerant down a enclosed area like that cause it sucks out all the oil from your skin makin it itch worser.

Momma Rugg used to dust some Gold Bond Medicated powder down my cast to stop itchin.

Are y'all done yet  Can we move onto another topic  It was a suggestion I read on the internet. I would have posted advice on here first but I know I somehow would have been roasted :frown: Then if I posted a thread asking what I can do for intense itching folks would have thought it was a drama thread and me wanting attention so I reasearched it online. So then after damage was done, I still didn't post a thread asking a question in the health section as I very well could have and created an mpd, etc... asking about my intense burning I was starting to feel.
Finally yesterday, I asked MM because he works with computers and I thought would be familiar with the stuff. But again, I have learned my lesson... stay away from combustible metal aresol cans :yay: I read this on the internet in my research and maybe didn't finish reading it :ohwell: "You may also blow cool air down the cast with a blow dryer to alleviate the itch." How in the hell does one fit a blow dryer down their cast?? :banghead:

Thanks for the well wishes and kind comments I have received in my krama though :huggy:

I thought about the Gold Bond Medicated powder but then worried that if it doesn't work I'd have no way of shaking it all out of cast, albeit blowing it out with a pressurized can. Lets all hope I get this damned thing off on the 8th. :frown: :bawl:

so in all seriousness, are you going to the doc asap to make sure that you didn't do permanent damage to your skin?

:yeahthat: Sorry dems, but the whole thing is just too effing funny. :trainwreck: :roflmao:
I would really really really like to see Pete demonstrate, via ArtPad, how to "fit a blow dryer down one's cast"....

Is that possible? To still use the online ArtPad, that is?

Or just an artist's interpretation of the actual events at hand???

PAAALEASE???? :flowers:

I asked Momma Rugg and she said you might have skin mites gnawin at your arm. She said to get some bakin soda and put near about half a box in your cast and shake it around to get it all over then pour a pint of apple cider vinegar in and it will take care of all that itchin and any mites you got in there.

The worst part is over with. I checked for redness and streaking Sunday to make sure there's no infection or anything major that would start shooting out from under the cast. Just a few scabs I think. It did relieve the INTENSE itching however for a split second though then after when the burning just kept getting worse and worse and worse, it was like "oh crap! what have I done" :jet: And then I debated going to the emergency room but just kind of grinned and beared it and took my pain med of 800mg of ibuprofen. Its alot better now, still itchy but I was wondering if there's permanent damage done to the skin. Before all I was worried about was nasty tan lines.. :frown:

so you're not going to go to the doc to get it checked out? you do know scabs are not a good thing also right? I have no sympathy for you then if you're not going to the doc.
