Christmas Eve isn't the holiday (Saturday), Christmas is the holiday (Sunday) so the Fed makes Monday the holiday. With Hogan's plan state and county offices will be closed Friday and banks, post offices, etc. will be closed Monday.

Our boss is a real prince....kind and benevolent. He gives us two days off for Christmas and two for New Years, so with only one day of personal leave used, you get an 8-day break from work.

At my side hustle (a large corporation) Thanksgiving and it's eve are paid holidays, but for Christmas we only get Christmas day. They turn into a floating holiday with double pay for people like me who volunteer to work on the holidays.



We also get Juneteenth as a paid holiday because my corp is woke AF.
