- DEER- Theme for the rest of June

We have not had any theme's or competitions in a while and when JBR posted some "deer feeding" shots it gave me the idea. With the new planting season the deer are out in almost every field and yard eating everything they can to gain the weight and nutrients they lost over the winter. Without the hunting pressure the bucks are coming out and feeding during the daylight hours. Their antlers are growing fast and while in velvet they are very impressive. The fawns have been born and starting to be more active allowing for great photo opportunities.

Lets start this now and run it till the end of the month. Add photo's to this thread but please keep the chattering about the photo's.

I can't find my camera. I think it's covered in dust

I know where my camera is and i found deer.

They didn't cooperate on Sunday.

Had a little better luck tonight, but not able to get close enough to get good detail.

Mom pushed her fawn off pretty quick but they give me a quick pose before getting in the woods.
