Plus the school was full of students, parents, and teachers for the Open House yesterday. They’ve had all summer to find and kill the mold and they wait till the day before school to do something. And what the hell will be accomplished with the 1st two days of virtual learning for the kids?!
Yea.. I saw that one also. The Piney Point delay is alittle more understandable than the Esperanza delay.Piney Point also has a delayed opening but for different reasons. I guess the school board will be asking for more money to prevent delays like this.

To be fair, it could be that the mold didn't develop until the summer months when the building isn't fully air conditioned, and depending on where the mold was it may not have been discovered until a teacher got back in their classroom and started moving stuff around. That could have led to further investigation into other areas and a bigger problem found. I've seen it happen that way. I'm just glad they're actually closing to fix it.They’ve had all summer to find and kill the mold and they wait till the day before school to do something.
