Follow the link, you can enter the battery PPID number to check and see if you actually have to have yours replaced.

Inspiron 9300. I gotta get the battery numbers when I get home though to be sure that mine is affected. Model number is on the list though.

My model numbers were on the list.. but my batteries are fine. Follow the link on the Dell site and it tells you where to look, and which batteries are effected.
