ATLANTA - Delta Air Lines Inc., the nation's third-largest carrier, said Wednesday its loss widened in the first quarter to a whopping $6.39 billion because of soaring fuel prices...

I think it is our civic duty to collect the $10.5 billion for these ailing airlines and send it to them. Fuel is a necessity and $10.5 billion is a WHOLE lot of money. How can we just sit by and let this happen? We are price gouging the airlines by making them suffer in such a way over a necessity we should be absorbing the cost of because we need them to fly us around.

Isn't it only fair? There were plenty of whiners that an oil company making $10 billion was tantamount to theft and they should give it back to us somehow... why not the other way around?

But then the poor oil executives will be forced to eat Applebee's and Outback like the rest of us. Next thing pigs will be sleeping with cows, I won't be able to get fried chicken at KFC, and...
