Democrat wins Santos's NY Seat in huge blow to Republicans

Democrats continue to narrow the house majority held by only 3 Republicans proving they will do well in the suburbs in the general

1. Republicans' historically narrow majority got even smaller.

What gets thinner than a whisker? That's essentially Republicans' current majority in the House — only three seats. You think governing has been hard for House Republicans? It just got that much harder.

2. Republicans continue to struggle in the suburbs.

Education, crime and now immigration. None of those issues has really turned the tide for Republicans in the suburbs. With former President Donald Trump as the likely standard bearer again for the party, their job is made even harder. The latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found that almost two-thirds of suburban voters have an unfavorable opinion of Trump and, in a head-to-head matchup, Biden leads Trump by 16 points with suburban voters.

It's their nature.

Democrats are Corrupt, Criminal Scum.
Proof is in the pudding, they would have a lawless banana republic as long as the emperor has a D beside his name............ see Myorkis. Question is how long will temperance last?

Not sure why this is such a "huge blow" or even surprising.

Because you don't understand anything.

The margin in the house is now done to one.

Republicans had the district and should have held it

It shows the propaganda about the border and Bidens mental decline aren't working on suburban voters.

Well, it passed the House so apparently many "no one"s voted for it.

I agree, you are.

Political theater is a liberal trait and I don't support the liberal agenda.

Just like Mayorkas impeachment passed but everyone is laughing at your stupidity instead of cheering you for passing it.

Try doing something for the country other than infighting, impeachment and making up lies about Hunter Biden and perhaps people will take your party seriously.

The leftie press is trying to prop it up as a harbinger of what's the come in the House, in the fall.

It's not. It was a Dem seat for years - Santos got it - two Dems ran for it, one of them turned Republcan - whoop de doo.

There's a seismic shift happening right under the Dem's feet, and that is, they are losing African Americans.
Not HUGE - Republicans are pulling down 20-25% but they used to get **5**.

There are some demographic election calculators on the Internet that show - if the Republicans ever consistently get above 16% of the AA vote - they will always win. Above 20 - and they will begin to win BLUE states, often.

Black voters are getting sick of promises the Dems refuse to keep - they promise - don't deliver - and blame Republicans. It's getting old, and more and more younger black voters are changing their minds about voting Democrat all the time.

I think IF Trump wins big - he will have very long coattails.
