Mamdani’s bigoted history keeps catching up with him

Now Zohran Mamdani, in addition to ticking off the Jewish Americans who make up 11% of his city’s population, is ticking off Italian-Americans (another large minority). An old Twitter post (2020) has resurfaced, and it’s not a good look for the wannabe mayor of the Big Apple.

Didn’t that communist come to this country for a better life?

If Christopher Columbus hadn’t discovered the Bahamas, history would have turned out very, very different. America may have been discovered and colonized by the Russians or the Chinese rather than Western Europeans.

The first settlers of these lands came from Western Europe. They left everything behind in their “modern” countries.

They faced unfathomable peril and hardship in a wild, vast, and untamed world — peril and hardship at a level we 21st-century couch potatoes could barely grasp, let alone handle.

Immigrants (legal ones, plus an unprecedented tsunami of illegals) who come today, as well as many of our own ancestors, came after America was well established and didn’t face the dangers of settling this land.

New York Elites Brace for the Inevitable: Mamdani as Mayor

“It is hard to find a collection of three New Yorkers more stubborn than Andrew Cuomo, Eric Adams, and [GOP candidate] Curtis Sliwa,” said Trip Yang, a former campaign staffer for Sen. Bernie Sanders. “And Eric Adams might be the most stubborn of the bunch.”

Adams is polling at 15% while Cuomo isn't doing much better at 24%. Meanwhile, Mamdani is riding high at 40%. New York's abominable ranked-choice voting system would give the socialist an early victory after counting ballots that ranked him second.

“Look, Zohran Mamdani is certainly going to be the next mayor of New York City,” Yang said. “The only opportunity there for the anti-Mamdani forces is if they all coalesce behind one candidate.”

Putting the good of the city above their personal ambitions is not in either Adams's or Cuomo's DNA. They are in it till the end, as is the Republican candidate, Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa. “I’m not getting out of this race unless they figure out a way to put me in a pine box and bury me six feet under,” he said.

The Free Press:

Unfortunately for everyone else, Mamdani seems to gain more support every day, including from unions that had been a source of strength for Cuomo. On Tuesday, Mamdani won the crown jewel of the union game: the endorsement of DC 37, the largest labor union of city workers. On top of that, campaign finance records released Wednesday show that Mamdani brought in $852,000 between June 10 and July 11, or before and after his historic upset. Adams also showed strong fundraising, bringing in more than $1.5 million, most of it since Mamdani’s primary win.
“We’re seeing the five stages of grief play out,” said [Kenny Burgos, head of the New York Apartment Association], who sees Mamdani as a “direct threat” to the real-estate industry if he becomes mayor. “And I’ve just reached the last stage of acceptance much sooner than everyone else.”

'He's An Idiot': New Yorkers Asked About Mamdani, and Their Answers Speak Volumes

1752767536288.png

I am unsure what the likelihood is that the Fox News crew only spoke to people who were against Mamdani, but their answers should provide some kind of warning to Democrats that not everyone in their party supports the radical agenda coming from the likes of Mamdani, NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and more.

My colleague Becky Noble reported on how AOC has embraced Mamdani despite his obvious communist agenda, even parading him on Wednesday around Washington, D.C.

AOC said that she is eager for her colleagues to meet Mamdani "face to face," and "hear what he has to say about making New York affordable for working people."

As much as AOC has accepted him, there are moderates still in the party who are staying as far away from him as possible during his little field trip to the nation's capital.

However, leaders of the party, such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY), recognize that Mamdani's candidacy is a problem that gets even bigger if he wins. Neither has endorsed Mamdani, but both claim meetings are scheduled. Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) is one of the few New York City-area Democrats who has been a vocal critic of Mamdani.

Mamdani Isn't Inevitable. Here's How to Beat Him.

New Yorkers alarmed by Zohran Mamdani's Marxist convictions, "defund the police" history and anti-Israel rhetoric keep insisting he's impossible to beat with so many candidates splitting the anti-Mamdani vote. The thinking is that with Republican Curtis Sliwa, Mayor Eric Adams and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo all running, Mamdani's victory is inevitable.

That's wrong. Mamdani can be defeated by surging voter turnout, even if all the candidates stay in the race. The numbers prove it.

In 1989, 60% of voters turned out for the mayor's race, and four years later, turnout still reached 57%. But in 2021, it sank to a pathetic 21%. It doesn't have to be that way.

Mamdani understood that instead of fighting for the biggest share of a small number of voters, the way to win is to expand the electorate. In the June primary, Mamdani's doorknockers were largely responsible for making turnout the largest in New York mayoral primary history. He also focused on registering new voters. In the two weeks before the registration deadline, some 37,000 new voters were registered, 10 times what usually happens in that time period.

Oh mama! Qatar bankrolled over a decade worth of films directed by Zohran Mamdani’s mom

Since mid-June, Sheikha Al-Thani has taken to promoting Mamdani’s mayoral candidacy on social media, boosting news of favorable polling on Instagram and posting fire emojis under a TikTok video of him embracing Nair.

“They are buying somebody who is willing to be bought and at the time of their choosing they will ask for what they want,” warned Danielle Pletka, a foreign policy expert at the American Enterprise Institute think tank, of Nair’s Qatar ties. “They need a rainbow coalition of people who will support the ideology they promote: sometimes it will be Islamism, sometimes it will be antisemitism, sometimes it will be anti-Israel.”

The Post found extensive ties between the Queens assemblyman’s mom and the Qatari elite, including:
  • In 2009 her film ‘Amelia’ opened the first-ever Doha Tribeca Film Festival in the Gulf regime’s capital.
  • From 2010 until 2014, the Doha Film Institute — founded by Sheikha Al-Thani — underwrote a “bootcamp” to train Qatari students in screenwriting and filmmaking at Nair’s Maisha Film Labs in East Africa and in Doha, according to both organizations’ websites.
  • The Doha Film Institute also paid the entire $15 million budget of Nair’s 2012 film “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” one of the first movies it produced. The flick, which had previously struggled to obtain financing, tells the story of a Pakistani immigrant who suffers mistreatment at the hands of U.S. authorities after 9/11, and opened the Doha Tribeca Film Festival that year.
  • Nair’s film “Nafas,” about historic Qatari pearl divers, was the first movie commissioned by the Qatar National Museum, which Sheikha Al-Thani chairs. It premiered at the museum’s 2019 opening, which Nair attended, and remains one of its flagship exhibits. Its budget has not been made public.
  • A company Nair set up in her native India did $102,000 in business in 2022 and 2023 with event management firm Agence Publics Qatar, which shares its chairman with the Qatar Engineering & Construction Co., a major player in Qatar’s piggy-bank oil and gas industry, according to LinkedIn and publicly-listed import records collected by private supply chain-monitoring firms.
  • The country’s most high-profile support for the auteur came in 2022, when state-owned Qatar Airways and Qatar Creates — another of the sheikha’s pet projects boosting the country as a cultural destination — produced an extravagant Nair-directed stage adaptation of her Golden Globe-nominated film “Monsoon Wedding” as part of the World Cup festivities.
Qatar’s sharia-inspired social policies, which bar women from marrying or holding government roles without a male guardian’s permission and which can punish homosexuality with torture or even death, are at odds with the progressive images Nair and Mamdani have cultivated.

The filmmaker has presented herself a voice for the “marginalized,” while her son has pledged to make New York an “LGBTQIA+ sanctuary city.”

Thousands of migrant workers died building facilities for the World Cup in Qatar’s 125-degree temperatures amid conditions human rights activists described as “modern day slavery.”

But in an interview with the website Qatar Happening during the soccer tournament and the ‘Monsoon Wedding’ musical’s run, Nair had only praise for the regime and her royal patron.

“Her Highness Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani has loved the movie but also supported the inception of this musical over several years,” Nair said.

Nair has boycotted the Haifa International Film Festival over Israeli policies she says “privilege one religion over another.” But Qatar bans non-Muslims from practicing in public, and the State Department has warned the country is “pursuing a number of actions which will ultimately lead to the eradication” of its Bah’aii religious minority.

Despite these well-documented abuses, as recently as November 2024, Nair was photographed attending a high-profile exhibit opening at the Qatar National Museum. There is no record of her ever speaking out on the regime’s notoriously deplorable human rights record.

The filmmaker did not respond to repeated requests for comment, nor did the Qatari entities that have financed her work.

Critics have called Qatar “America’s ultimate ‘frenemy,’” as it provides support to anti-U.S. Islamist organizations while simultaneously hosting an American airbase. Jonathan Schanzer, executive director of the nonprofit Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, called it “both arsonist and firefighter”: backing destabilizing organizations like Hamas and the Taliban, then offering itself as a mediator with the groups on behalf of the West.

Schanzer said it was concerning only “one degree of separation” could exist between the country’s ruling elite the mayor of America’s biggest city, given how the Qataris have used their country’s vast wealth to bribe ex-New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez and figures in the European Parliament.

Zohran Mamdani fans have no clue of the horror ‘socialists in a hurry’ unleash

His wealth of socialist/Communist ideasabolishing private property, seizing the means of production, defunding the police, freezing rent, providing free public transportation, establishing government-run stores and more — make many such 20-somethings swoon.

Yet wiser and more sober minds know just how such notions would hurt the city.

Yes, Mamdani is over 30 — he’s 33 — but maybe he’s just a late bloomer, not having achieved much for his age.

Given his feather-light resume and fantasyland agenda, some over-30 supporters who should know better nonetheless assure us not to worry; he won’t be able to accomplish what he’s saying.

That’s a head-scratcher: They disagree with Mamdani’s core positions and also recognize his lack of ability and achievements — but will vote for him because he will fail at his agenda!

History abounds with the horrors of the communism that fuels his and his supporters’ ideologies.

Immigrants who experienced communism recoil at seeing it advocated here.

From 1917 to 1987, Communist regimes killed an estimated 169 million people through executions, purges, forced labor, torture, imprisonment and mass starvation — in Communist China, the Soviet Union, Angola, Cambodia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Poland and more.

That far exceeds the 28 million deaths under fascism.

Media and education invested in glorifying Marxism and denigrating America have spread ignorance of communism’s bloody track record.

This memory hole fuels the myth that wealth redistribution creates equality, freedom and prosperity.

History proves this notion false.

Capitalism, despite its flaws and more than any other system, catapulted billions, including a quarter of humanity in China, into unprecedented prosperity and the closest ever to freedom and equality of rights; communism did the exact opposite.

Democrats Are Terrified and Republicans Are Giddy Over Mamdani Becoming the 'Face of the Democrats'

Zohran Mamdani, the avowed socialist leading the race for New York mayor, may give Republicans the perfect foil to run against in 2026. He's so outrageously extreme that the GOP won't even have to exaggerate that much to portray him as dangerous and antithetical to American values and norms.

Naturally, Democrats are sweating bullets and looking for a way to hide Mamdani before the midterms somehow. Their problem is that a large plurality of their base enthusiastically supports Mamdani, as do a good number of Democratic officeholders.

Democratic Party moderates are losing their minds.

Politico:

They worry a Mamdani mayoralty will deepen an existential crisis for a party desperate to win back power in Congress — simultaneously handing Republicans a cudgel to paint their moderate opponents as socialists and encouraging hard-left copy cat candidates to primary Democratic incumbents, potentially pushing the party further to the left.
Republicans are giving the 33-year-old democratic socialist a starring role in digital ads and fundraising appeals — affixing him to moderate Democrats who represent swing seats in the New York City suburbs and nationwide.
A video this month by the House GOP’s campaign arm warned that Democrats “want to turn America into a socialist, crime-filled dystopia” and features a clip of Mamdani discussing the “abolition of private property.”

“I’ve never seen Republicans more giddy about the idea of a socialist mayor of New York City,” said Democratic former Nassau County executive Laura Curran. “They’re more excited about this than Mamdani’s followers or supporters.”

“Mamdani is the greatest threat to Democrats probably since Ronald Reagan because he’s everything Democrats have been accused of being and in fact is — to the extreme,” said Hank Sheinkopf, a longtime New York Democratic operative. “Republican ad makers will know what to do with this.”

Bus Fuss: Bill de Blasio Caught Lying about ‘Successful’ Zohran Mamdani Free NYC Transportation Plan

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio seems enamored with a Democratic Socialist (aka Communist) becoming the Big Apple’s next mayor. De Blasio was on Morning Joe touting the Democrat Party's mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani’s ‘free buses’ plan.

Host Joe Scarborough slammed the brakes on that nonsense with a simple question. (WATCH)

Californians, other out-state donors bankrolling socialist Zohran Mamdani — to the tune of $2.4M

Deep-pocketed, out-of-state donors account for 78% of the nearly $2.4 million raised by a super PAC backing Zohran Mamdani’s NYC mayoral campaign.

Lefties outside the Empire State wrote fat checks totaling $1,831,706 to the group, New Yorkers for Lower Costs, as of Friday, records showed.

The sum included $762,631 from 26 California donors, with most of it coming from just two people.

“Mamdani’s campaign isn’t about New York City — it’s about fueling a national socialist movement bankrolled by donors in California and beyond … with Hollywood and out-of-state activists trying to dictate the future of our city,” said Mayor Eric Adams’ campaign spokesman Todd Shapiro.

“New Yorkers don’t need lectures from California millionaires about how to live, work, and raise their families,” he said.

SHOCK VIDEO: State Rep. Mai Xiong chops head off chicken while bragging about effort to ‘slay Republicans’

Michigan state Rep. Mai Xiong regularly lectures her online critics about how mean words and loaded language lead to “political violence against public officials.”

The Warren Democrat also likes to create videos about how she works to “slay Republicans,” she describes as “MAGA extremists” and “monsters,” while relentlessly promoting herself on X and TikTok.

“I respect and know that being an elected official means hearing many different kinds of opinions. I expect criticism – but this kind of hateful rhetoric is not debate,” Xiong recently posted to X in response to online attacks. “It’s is [sic] harmful, dangerous, and not only fuels political violence, it’s verbal abuse. This behavior must stop.”

Mai Xiong with long dark hair, wearing a light-colored top, speaking passionately. Text overlay reads Born in a refugee camp after family fled from communist Vietnam. Becomes a democrat.
