In a childish effort to paint blatant sexualization of children as oppressive, Democrats are now removing all kinds of benign things from schools and blaming Republicans. Example:

It's like them interpreting not allowing teachers to sexually groom children in the classroom as "Don't Say Gay". Or calling removing porn from elementary school libraries "book banning". It's an attempt to paint basic common sense as unreasonable - they make the leap from banning gay porn to banning rainbows in general.
It's like when my kids were young and hadn't yet learned to bring their A game to a debate:
Me: No, you are not going to a concert in Baltimore.
Kid tells friend in front of me so I can hear: OMG my Nazi mom says I can't leave the house or listen to music ever again!
They know they're being ridiculous, so they build a strawman and try to make the debate about that.
Childish.
