Deranged NFL Thursday night...

...that is the most wretched, overblown miscarriage I have ever seen and I've seen Super Bowls.

Let us NEVER hear another complaint about TO or Moss or Horn or ANYONE who we used to think of as embarassing or disrespectful of the game; it is now the LEAGUE as premo prima dona diva.

The league has now made ANY behavior by any player in search of attention perfectly...the norm.

I am ####ing embrassed to say I am a pro football fan.

:puke:

:spit:

My God.

I have to agree. I watched part of it and was cringing at times. The only highlight for me was Santana playing "Smooth" but the stage and the whole setup was WAY tacky and overblown. Ugh. :twitch:

I kept it on ESPN until game time I can't stand all that other crap that goes along with pre-games and suber bowl half times. I would rather see the analysts talk about the same stuff over and over again then to see any pre-game performances or whatever.

...everytime I switched to see what ABC was telling us about the game in their pre game segment, another fake audience was grooving to another rock star or group. More music than MTV when MTV still did music.

I guess the Stones were somewhere else with a real audience, I couldn't tell but they did cure me, in one minute, of wanting to go see them. When Ozzie popped ouf of a helmet, the players entering the field under him seemed absolutely bewildered. Alice in Whathehellisthisland. Go ahead, warm up again guys, we'll be with you when the fog machines are empty.

The NFL should simply state that football is merely one of their properties and that their core business is entertainment; music, dancing, fireworks, celebrity commentators and, oh yeah, football.

Vince McMahon would be proud.

I had visions of Richard Dawsons character(Damon ?) in Running Man with all the hoopla, fog and music at the start of the chase.

Speaking of double bogeys, tomorrow at 7:48AM, you can play and stay at casa de La Pete :really:

...gotta cover the greenhouses this weekend.

I played Whiskey Creek last week. Kinda beat up. NO chili dips. Still shot in the 90's. I think I just suck.

We're even having a pre-tee off extravaganza. Featuring the Leonardtown middle school band, and a Cessna 150 fly-over :yay:

Agree with your review of the spectacle, or should I say debacle, that was the NFL kick-off show. Tunned in on a few occasions just long enough to send me back to "Iron Chef".

And what the hell was up with Ozzie, looked like he wearing a mask.

Wouldn't suprise me a bit that, Hollywood will nominate the show for an Emmy. :ohwell:
