The Homicide Unit charged a man in connection with a fatal shooting on Thursday in District Heights. He is 24-year-old Dartangan Page of no fixed address. He’s charged with fatally shooting 23-year-old Jawuan Ingram of Landover.
On April 9th, at approximately 5:10 pm, patrol officers were called to the 1700 block of Berry Lane for a shooting. Ingram was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed Page and Ingram knew each other and were together inside of a nearby home. While inside together, Ingram was shot. Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
Page is charged with second degree murder, manslaughter and additional charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
